Williston State College is an innovative community college offering technical two-year Associate in Applied Science degrees and Program Certificates in Automation, Petroleum, Diesel Transportation, Welding, IT, Business Management, and Accounting. WSC also offers two-year Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees. Students can complete a degree/certificate at WSC or transfer with junior status to most four-year colleges and universities.

“Williston State College offers scholarships that cover tuition and fees covering a 53 county area between Western North Dakota and Eastern Montana. Also, WSC will offer these scholarships to part-time degree seeking students enrolled in 1-6 credit hours as long as they intend to complete their Associate Degree. This is a realistic change that allows students to complete their degree and also meet their own obligations such as work or family.

These scholarships have no application. Recipients will be notified of their award status when the WSC Application for Admission is received and processed.”

WSC’s technical programs are delivered by knowledgeable industry professionals and supported by state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. Students gain hands-on experience in the laboratory and thru a variety of internship opportunities. The WSC Foundation Scholarships provide unique financial assistance to qualifying students.

The TrainND Northwest Apprenticeship Program targets those categories of workers that do not necessarily aspire for a college education, and yet would like to benefit from training they can receive at the WSC TrainND Automation & Controls laboratory in order to enhance their careers. This effort comes as part of our continued mission to diversify technician training in the Bakken.

Apprenticeship training will be scheduled in a flexible manner to best fit the work schedules of each individual apprentice. Training will be provided at a pace comfortable for the trainee. Students will have the option of taking the entire program or individual courses depending on their interest and/or their employer’s needs.
